Village of Piermont Comprehensive Plan

The Village of Piermont (the Village) is seeking proposals from qualified planning firms (the Consultant) to prepare a comprehensive plan and an update to the Village’s building codes and land use policies to address climate change resiliency and sustainability policies. The Village intends that these updates will provide the tools to mitigate the impacts of climate change, particularly Sea Level Rise. The Village has received a grant from the NYS Department of State (#C1001339) to update building codes and zoning regulations as part of the work to implement priority projects detailed in the recently updated draft Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP), a grant from NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Hudson River Estuary Program (Contract # T001186GG) to integrate the work of updating codes and zoning regulations with the development of a Comprehensive Plan, and a New York State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Planning (as administrators for FEMA) planning grant to develop a Comprehensive Plan with a focus on resiliency in the era of climate change
