The NY Metro Chapter is an active participant in many task forces that address critical planning issues affecting the quality of life in the New York metropolitan area. APA's New York Metro Chapter played a prominent role in both civic and professional efforts in the immediate aftermath of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and is continuing to provide its planning experience and technical expertise to ongoing rebuilding initiatives in New York City and the region. APA Hudson Yards Position Paper
APA offers its perspectives on the fragmentation of the public review process in which the zoning plan is subject to the City's review, while key elements, like the proposed stadium and the expanded convention center, remain outside such review.
